Network Rail and Medway Council have completed a new modern station and adjoining multi-storey car park (MSCP) at Rochester Station Kent. Operated by Southeastern, the new station provides London commuters with a greatly enhanced transport facility. The new MSCP provides approximately 340 car spaces over 6 split levels. A design and build contract was awarded to main contractor C Spencer who in turn choose specialist subcontractor Concast to provide a total Precast frame solution. Concast’s “Achilies RISQS” accreditation ensured Network Rail’s stringent health and safety requirements for erecting in a live-rail environment were fully complied with. Concast have worked on numerous Network Rail projects including Chislehurst Bromley, Carville Road Newcastle along with train-care depot projects at both Hornsey and Three Bridges London.
