Green Reit PLC instructed BAM to design and build One Molesworth Street, a high-end office building with ground floor retail at a premier address within Dublin’s Central Business District. The accommodation incorporates offices of 6,600 sqm, 2,100 sqm of retail and 27 basement car spaces accessed via two car lifts. BAM choose a steel frame design incorporating integral Precast access cores. Concast supplied two 8 storey Precast access cores (including double basement levels). The larger core incorporates four lift carriages and a stairwell, while the smaller core provides a single lift shaft and stairwell. Steel plates and reinforcement continuity strip were cast into the Precast units during manufacture to allow for structural connection with the steel frame. We have a strong relationship with BAM having completed numerous projects together including similar access core projects at City Gate Park Cork, The Capitol Cork and Navigation House Cork.
