Concast provided a full Precast frame solution for developer and main contractor Park Developments at Hanover Quay Grand Canal Dock. This is a multi award winning (RIAI Best Residential Development and Best Housing Award) mixed use apartment and commercial project on 1.25 hectares in the heart of Dublin’s docklands. Concast provided a predominantly eight storey Precast frame solution for two courtyard blocks, providing a total of approximately 27,000 sqm of accommodation including 292 residential units, offices totaling 2,500 sqm, 400 sqm of retail along with basement car parking. Concast’s design utilises a cross wall Precast configuration for the apartment accommodation. As the ground and first floor retail / office accommodation comprised large open plan floor plates, the overhead residential structural loading was transferred from the cross wall to a braced column and transfer beam frame below. Concast have worked with Park Developments on numerous similar large scale projects including Mount St Anne’s Milltown Dublin, New Bancroft Tallaght Dublin and Addison Park Glasnevin Dublin.
