This school was a long/ low building ideally suited to cross wall construction. It incorporated our standard range prodcuts such as wall panels and floor slabs, along with more unusal ones such as transfer wall panels, transfer beams, stair flights with integral landings etc.
Precast concrete has an advantage over other forms of construction in terms of the speed of construction and quality of the finish of the wall panels, with little or no treatment required before paint can be applied. Other requirements such as heat and sound insulation are inherent qualities of precast structures.
Where upper floor walls do not line up with structure below, a transfer structure can be easily incorporated, with transfer wall panels acting as deep beams, concrete beams and steel structure where required, allowing flexibility of design for the architect.
Modern class room designs often require flexible class room size, precast concrete can deliver large open plan areas, in which light weight construction can be used to form the partition walls. These walls can be moved to alter the size or shape of a room, depending on the usage required..
Precast Concrete offers speed of erection, flexibility of design and a quality finish at a competitive cost.
